Do My Harvester Ant Neighbors Go To Sleep?

i will wait until the chuck will's widow makes their dusk call - maybe i will wait a little longer. i want to know if the ants keep marching all night long. do you know? do all leaf cutter ants march at the same times? do these times correspond to the moon's gravitational pull?

i'm sorry that my sitting here, next to your highway, has invited the dogs to wrestle and chase here, oblivious to their giant feet trampling days, months, years of infrastructure. do they love me? does their love for me trample your highways? what if i sat farther away? is my wanting to know when and if you go to sleep driven by my love for you, or perhaps my desire to love you? my yearning to love you and for you to love me?

i haven't heard my nightjar friend yet, the light is fading. is it sprinkling water or caterpillar poop? tiny frass grenades?
